Lesson Planning - Morphology Based Lessons - Intervention Tip of the Week

Check out this blog and video to learn more about how we teach morphology to our reading intervention students!

Today we wanted to jump into how we teach morphology in our reading intervention lessons.

When I first started out, I knew that morphology was a “hot-button” term that needed to be included in my Orton-Gillingham-based or Structured Literacy lessons but I was still unsure of exactly what this needed to look like or how to do this.

I was stuck wondering about morphology…

Do I just add these patterns into my other lessons?

Do I try to explicitly teach these patterns on top of my phonogram/sound patterns (like the “ai” vowel team for example)?

How on earth do I fit all this in?

In today’s intervention tip we share the strategy that’s ACTUALLY working in our sessions - check it out in the video below!
